Thanks to this brilliant material, the Eagle 2.0 is three times as breathable as a traditional layered racing suit. Unique to the Eagle, large side and back elastic panels are aided by 360 degree floating arm gussets for unparalleled flexibility and comfort. Dubbed Eagle-Fabric, this stretch fabric is more breathable and abrasion resistant then comparable stretch materials. Debuting with four vibrant color options, the Eagle 2.0 passes the latest FIA 8856-2018 homologation.
How does Hocotex work? Racing suits are traditionally constructed using layers of fabric sewn together with a quilted pattern. This quilting creates pockets of air between the layers which expands in a fire, providing thermal protection for the driver. Hocotex uses a honeycomb structure with over 60,000 internal air cells that provide a 10 to 12% increase in heat protection. Compare this to the 300 quilted chambers found in a traditional suit and the difference is clear!
